Donate

Every tool we make is given to the student who needs it. Donations are what make that possible — they cover the materials and the design time so that cost is never the reason a child goes without.

Where your donation goes

Giving here pays for the making of tools, not for selling them.

  • Materials

Filament, fasteners, and the flexible and food-safe plastics that some tools need. This is the cost that scales directly with the number of students reached.

  • Design time

The hours between a request and a finished object: measuring, modelling, printing a first version, finding out what is wrong with it, and printing the next one.

  • Revisions and regrows

A tool a student has outgrown gets reprinted at a new size, and a broken part gets replaced. Funding this is what keeps a tool useful for years rather than months.

  • Keeping tools free

Families and schools are not charged for what they receive. Every donation is what stands between a student and a price tag.

Needs a spending breakdown

add the actual split of spending between programs, equipment, and administration once the organization has figures. Donors reasonably expect this, and it should not be estimated.

This site has no payment processor connected, so there is nothing to click here yet. See src/lib/donate.ts for the three steps to connect one. Until then, anyone wanting to give can get in touch.
